I tutor kids of all ages in a variety of subjects. Most students work best with 2 sessions per week. Depending on their needs, we can meet for 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours per session. I will evaluate (using the QRI-4 method) each reading student prior to our first session. We will determine an approximate grade level for reading fluency and comprehension. I am also available to confer with classroom teachers on their needs. I have 2 goals with tutoring: to teach the student appropriate skills and to inspire reading/learning. Sessions will be fun and informal. However, we will work HARD. Typically, students thoroughly enjoy each session. Here are my rates during the school year:
One 30-minute session per week: $25
Two 30-minute sessions per week: $40
One 60-minute sessions per week: $40
Two 60-minute sessions per week: $70
Three 60-minute sessions per week: $100
In addition to tutoring, I also homeschool students in reading and math. Discounted rates are given for daily sessions. Please call me to discuss your homeschool needs.
Typically, tutoring and homeschooling are done at my house. However, I am available to tutor at your child's school.
