As a teacher-librarian, I have two goals in tutoring. The first goal is to strengthen struggling readers through comprehension and fluency. Then, I will focus on determining reading interests to increase the desire to read for pleasure. In addition, I will work with parents to encourage reading at home. I am tutoring on Tuesdays from 9-2 and Thursdays from 8-1. My rate is $40 per hour. I will only tutor in 1-hour blocks this Summer.
Susan Parker (Abrakadoodle) and I will be hosting 3 Art and Reading Enrichment Camps this Summer. Each camp will be at Eastwood Christian School. These camps are open to all students from K-6th grade. They will be from 9-12 and the cost is $180, art supplies included. Each day we will focus on 2 books and have related Creative Writing and Art activities.
