Does your child's school have a certified librarian? Did you know librarian's must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a classroom teacher in addition to a Master's in Education? Years of research indicate a direct correlation between certified librarian's in elementary schools and student test scores. I suggest everyone contact their school administration and find out if their school has a certified librarian. Here's an interesting op-ed from Milwaukee related to this subject.
